09 Brella Oregon Pinot Noir ($20) ☺☺

I kept meaning to try more Pinots from the great valleys in Oregon. This is a blend of grapes from the three main wine producing areas of Williamette, Umpqua Valley and Rogue Valley. The wine is lighter in color than some of the fruit forward Californian counterparts but the style of these wines is very different. The Brella has the flavors of just ripened bing cherries, and a healthy dose of vanilla. It went well with the red meat and to me, represented excellent value.
