10 Slanted House Sangiacomo Pinot Noir ☺☺

Thomas Brock, the owner of Slanted House is the assistant winemaker to james Macphail so you can see the pedigree of this wine. It has a  very MacPhail like characteristic but perhaps not as smooth as the equivalent Macphail product. We opened the wine about an hour before drinking and also decanted it. The initial nose was strawberry jam, black tea and bacon fat. The taste initially was quite tannic but balanced. After a couple of hours the tannins had mellowed somewhat but they were still evident. I would like to try this in a few years tome to see how it develops. Depending on the price point it may be worth looking out for.
