10 Copain Tous Ensemble Chardonnay ($28) ☺☺☺

If you like unoaked Chardonnay then this is a must for your drinking cellar. The nose is bright and citrus with the underlying sweetness associated with pears and apples. This is truly a great foodie wine and works with most fish courses as well as lighter meat. We tried it with pork tenderloin and it was a great match.

08 Ferrari Carano Emelias Cuvee ($36) ☺☺☺

An excellent example of Chardonnay produced by malolactic fermentation. This wine has the beautiful mango and peach fruit combination with buttery vanilla undertones. Despite being a poorer vintage this wine really brings out the best ins hat was a less than optimal season. It is oaken but delicately so, none of the overpowering oak which consumers have gown to expect.  Personally I prefer the lighter delicate unbaked chardonnays and this falls into that sector. Great food wine !
